From the animals point of view the outside areas are OK, but overall it just looks like something from cheap Disneyland. i still can't fathom why they went down that road.
exactly my thoughts. I actually like the "foresty" outdoors space with its vines and so forth, but the rest just leaves me cold. The new iguana exhibit (the room on the left-hand side if facing the whole exhibit, which would have been empty when you were there I guess) is decked out the same with tacky laughs passing for a vague attempt at education.
