Albino African Lungfish

A very nice animal, although it cannot live up to the previous inhabitant of the tank, which was the last Japanese giant salamander in a European zoo.

Cool! When was the salamander here?

It died in 2006, after that there has been a surinam toad in here, but this lungfish lives here since 2010.

Btw. I just saw on zootierliste that the vivarium in Laussanne (Switzerland) received a japanese giant salamander last year, so the previous inhabitant of this tank was not the last of its kind in a European zoo after all...
