A museum dedicated to the local Alcoota fossil beds, from the late Miocene (c.8 million years ago). Alice Springs, September 2025
To be honest, I had no idea that flamingos were distributed in late Miocene Australia. (By the way, there are no wild flamingos in today's Australia.)
