Aldabra Tortoise Exhibit - Indoors

July 16th, 2010.
It seems to be a concrete moat with steel bars to stop the tortoises falling in, but wide enough apart that they wouldn't be able to cross.

Sign of a converted exhibit, methinks.

So what's to stop them sliding on their plastron down to the window?

Snowleopard's photos don't really show the whole exhibit. It's neither a moat nor a converted exhibit. It's simply a raised, concrete platform surrounded by a "cattle-guard" design of iron bars. The photos don't capture the outer, rounded bar.

Very unique presentation, looks like a baggage carousel! Can visitors of short stature see over this obstruction easily?
