Alligator exhibit and Cablecar Terminal

Is this the exhibit that appeared in an episode of The Crocodile Hunter?

Unfortunately, I have no idea as I don't watch the Crocodile Hunter. But the Alligators have been in this exhibit for a long time.

one of my earliest memories of visiting taronga is of this exhibit. now just thinking - has this now become "amazonia" and the island used for small monkeys with the lake divided keeping the alligators in one part only?

Yes it is.

Actually, the pond was drained and the island was removed completely and three new islands for the monkeys constructed when they built the Conservation Lecture Theatre.

This area was originally a quarry where the materials for many of the early exhibits were quarried.
