This exhibit looks incredible! There is plenty of places for the secretive cats to hide and it really looks like a rainforest. Judging from pictures I think I like it better than Jacksonville, but I still think Seattle has the best.
The problem is that both jaguar exhibits at the Miami Metrozoo are too small for such large cats, and the viewing opportunities are not the greatest for visitors. However, the enclosures are densely planted with all sorts of foliage.
This looks large enough for a couple of jaguars. I honestly don't think jagaurs require as much room as some other big cats. That tree in the middle of the photo looks perfect for the jagaurs to climb up and perch on and they have a nice pool and tons of foliage. Do both exhibits have the underwater viewing?
My point is that I think this exhibit is large enough for jaguars. The exhibit space is of extremely high quality too making space a less important factor.

Only one of the jaguar exhibits has underwater viewing with a large pool, but both of them have lots of natural substrate. The main problem is the average size of the enclosures, and the viewing windows are much too small.
In a year or so, the zoo will leave the overhead cat-walk cage that connects the two jaguar habitats open so the two jaguars will have access to both exhibits at a time and they will breed the male with the female.
