The last time I was at the Aquarium (in 2011) the two freshwater tanks here (the Pacu tank and the one pictured above) were, respectively, a South American tank and an "Estuaries of Asia" tank. Now this one is a mix of African, Asian, and South American fish weirdly labelled as being an Amazon tank.
