It's been way too long, but Zoo Tours is back in Washington D.C! When you think of the Smithsonian National Zoo, I think we can all agree the first thing your mind does is picture a panda. You can't really blame anyone who does this, BUT the point of this episode is to show the zoo is much, much more than just pandamonium. Another attraction worth seeing is Amazonia. Inside a two storied, rural-looking brick building, is a hot and humid passage to the world's largest river basin. You'll find yourself gill to gill with 300lbs fish, explore Dr. Brasil's research lab that let's you feel the SHOCK from an electric eel, immerse yourself in a walk-thru atrium alive with 350 plant species, monkeys, and colorful birds. Stick around to the end for a little bonus content of the attached Science Gallery, where there you'll learn how the Smithsonian is helping preserve coral and saving frogs from extinction.
