Oh gauche,..is this their standard setup,..looks like one barren tank with changing animals, put in to take pictures,..at least when i look at what you uploaded?..and such a dry way to small tank, even without an appropriate waterbowl,...For a HYROsaurus,..Is it quarantine area?
This is a temporary (3-4 months) annual summer reptile exhibition. All tanks of the same type, with a thin layer of substrate and a minimum hiding places for the "better display". Waterbowl is present, but not as large as required. You can see part of the waterbowl in the lower right corner. Spraying is also provided.
Not all of these animals are owned by the zoo. Some of them come to the exhibition from private keepers. Other herps live in the zoo, but most of the year they are not available to the public. And their permanent tanks are better, but not always ideal.
