I think habitat dioramas like in the AMNH are so much better than these displays.

@Onychorhynchus coronatus Yeah, I agree. I think the SNMNH is going for a mixture of geographic and taxonomic displays rather than natural habitat ones.

@Breckenridge Yes , I think so too , but actually I dont think they are as effective or aesthetically impressive as naturalistic / natural habitat ones like at the AMNH.

Can you imagine a diorama of a Hispaniolan forest for example with the solenodon ? I doubt that has ever been done before and it could well be done now.
