This looks like a very good enclosure both aesthetically and to the cats aswell offering them loads of climbing and hiding oppurtunities. It looks very natural as well.
Very impressed with Marwell i cant wait to finally go.
It definately looks like it Cat-Man ive heard nothing but positive reports from people who have visited.
Does anyone know if Yenna and Gamin are still breeding as im pretty sure Zambar is their son but was handreared?
Gamin and Yenna are definately still a breeding pair. They have sired four offspring; the oldest, Zambar, was born in April 2004 and still lives at the park, and they had a litter of three in October of the same year, one of whom, Nika, currentley resides at Howletts.
Marwell Wildlife was used as they wanted to combine Marwell Zoological Park (the zoo itself) with the Marwell Preservation Trust (the charity that runs it and other conservation projects) into one.
