@PossumRoach In his new book, there is a two-page biography where it mentions that for decades Sheridan was involved within the "industry career". For example, he was "Managing Director Quadrant Connections Limited (now Telegartner UK), Radlett UK 1980 to 2007", amongst other positions over almost 50 years. He also had a political career, many years of voluntary service in education, and all profits from his books and zoo talks have gone towards two different in-situ conservation projects. Both of those involved gibbons, and Sheridan has donated all his profits from all 4 books towards such programs. He says "I have raised more than 100,000 Euros".
