What about all the green branches that we see in the front? Are they put into the deep moat separating gorillas from visitors?
As enrichment and/or creating more privacy for the gorillas?
Or are the branches outside the the gorillas´reach? If so, is it an attempt to give them privacy?
(I visited the zoo once some 40 years ago as a teenager. Don´t think the present house for big apes was built then, but I have seen a lot of pictures of it. Here at ZooChat and on other sites.)
