The sea lion exhibit depicts the rocky shores of the Pacific Coast. The habitat is open-topped with both above and underwater viewing. The exhibit originally held two walruses in 1987. Later a female, Aituk gave birth to a 117 pound pup in 1991. The pup lived for a short time. Aituk passed away in 1997 while the male Bruiser, was transferred to the Brookfield Zoo in 2000 and afterwards to Seaworld Orlando. Prior to the walruses leaving, sea lions and seals took over the exhibit.
