The main building of the AQUA Freshwater Aquarium in Silkeborg, Denmark. It is one of the biggest freshwater aquaria in Northern Europe with the main focus being native wildlife, especially the ones found in and around water.
The aquarium itself is located right by the Gudenå, the longest river in Denmark, and does a LOT of both in-situ and ex-situ conservation work, mainly breeding endangered species, restoring and protecting biotopes and educating the public.
