Taken 3/14/19. This fairly new museum is located on the shore of Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida and shares a central plaza with the Perez Art Museum Miami. Its central feature is the Aquarium which is located on 3 levels with 34 live animal exhibits.

The aesthetics of this aquarium from photos look like somebody decided to build an aquarium in the middle of a half-constructed multi-story parking garage. Is that an unfair assessment?

Yes it is in some ways, especially the other non-aquarium parts of the building. It is only partially successful at its intended Miami modern aesthetic!
