The famous display Arab Courier Attacked By Lions in the foyer of the Carnegie Museum. It was created by Édouard Verreaux for the Paris Exposition of 1867.
@Arizona Docent this very likely didn't actually happen. Most early taxidermy displays like this were designed to be sensational rather than realistic. It is a exciting exhibit to look at.
