Ah..wonderful! Just the photo of those paddocks I was hoping you'd have. Somewhere in my mind I got to thinking they had Springbok in there at one time, but obviously they were Arabian Gazelles. I was obviously seeing things....
I have b/w aerial photo taken in either the 1st or 2nd year, which shows the lion pacing around it's cage.
I agree totally what you say about the bird walk..they should have kept it as it was.
Bearing in mind Dudley's excellent record with Arabian Gazelles and with both zoos under Scotia ownership I suppose it was inevitable that some would land up at Kirby Misperton. Not that I'm complaining - I liked them.
