Archaeological dig site at the foot of the old abbey tower (Normally the raptor show area), 2021-09-02

This is the site of the destroyed abbey church, of which only the tower and some wall sections have remained. The raptors shows have not been held since the Covid-19 crisis and associated restrictions began, and with this dig it seems like they will not be restarted for some time to come.
