I don't think it is really, the bad stuff is very much in a minority. Although, I can see how someone might think that. Basically there is no Chinese zoo (except Chimelong) that does not have some poor exhibits, and this is especially true of the city zoos. I actually think there is a case to be made that Guangzhou is the best zoo in China
