Okay, this is going to seem extremely picky, but....after spending more than $14 million on this admittedly excellent exhibit, you would think/hope that the designers and contractors would get the grading right to hide the obvious concrete moat walls , CCTV cameras etc. If the client was as demanding as say Woodland Park Zoo (at least when David Hancocks was Director), these sorts of little things that destroy the illusion that are key to an exhibit's success would not have been allowed to "slide."
I agree with your assessment, and this photo is a good example of how piles and piles of concrete can ruin an image. Many of the other shots of the Arctic Ring of Life show a grassy, superb habitat.
