According to the new Phoenix Zoo history book (part of the Images of America series), this particular exhibit "was ready on opening day" and was called the Arizona Exhibit. The dimensions are 134 by 160 feet and it is interesting that since 1962 this particular walk-through aviary has barely been altered.
