Asian area - BioParque do Rio

The asian area is composed by two large paddocks that nowadays hold a single female asian elephant. The zoo plans to add groups of rusa deers and blackbucks, wich are being temporarily held in the "African savanna" complex. They also plan to acquire a male asian elephant from Sorocaba zoo.

Hi my name is Lucas, I created this account using my father's account, now in this exhibit got water buffaloes, my friend andré sebastião showed the photos in his page on facebook.

Yes, I know André's work and site. Never talked to him properly though, just discussed some issues of the Bioparque with him on Instagram.
About the buffaloes, I'm afraid african (cape) ones would be quite difficult to obtain. I would bet the institution will(is) keep(ing) asian/water ones indeed.

@BetoYoung
Well, I'm not sure about their behaviour, but what I mean is that I tend to think it is a little difficult to obtain these animals for brazilian zoos, as afaik, there are no zoos in South America that keeps them.
