I'm no big fan of the paving on the moat edge, but I've seen far worse bear enclosures. This is around half of the total length; it's almost all grassy. Short on foliage and climbing material, though.
Considering the horrendous conditions I saw bears kept under during my Baltic visit (I would upload pictures to let you guys see what I mean, but there are no galleries for the zoos, and Estonia and Lithuania are not even listed on Zoochat) I could almost call this simple exhibit a bear paradise! At least it has space and soil...
