Asian Forest Sanctuary - Rotation Exhibit

March 5th, 2010.
Rotation exhibit? Clearly suitable for tigers, but what else could they house here in between?

There could be sumatran tigers, lowland anoas, malayan tapirs or small-clawed otters in this large exhibit, and there were tigers on my latest visit. Of all the rotation habitats at the Point Defiance Zoo this one is easily the best, as the other 4 all involve some type of small area or mesh/netting. The other species that rotate are white-cheeked gibbons, siamangs and Indian crested porcupines, and one never knows what to expect in the Asian zone of this zoo.
