I actually saw the off-exhibit Attwater's Prairie Chicken breeding complex at the Caldwell Zoo. I also visited Attwater Prairie Chicken National Wildlife Refuge in the summer of 2019, unfortunately I never saw any prairie chickens in the wild like I was hoping. I did see them in captivity in Tyler and Abilene.
