Aucklands new male Carlo

So where was this photo taken? Clearly not Auckland Zoo. And it doesn't really look like Keystone either.

Did you take this photo? If yes, how did you get to keystone? If not, you should reference the source.

Looks like Franklin Zoo to me.

Yea, it does, that was my first thought too. But the back of their zebra paddock had a line of mature trees, not a hedge like the one shown here. And this zebra hasn't lived at Franklin in theory (animalguy stated that he was born at Auckland, transferred to Keystone, and then back to Auckland, and I've never heard of a male zebra at Franklin Zoo anyway).

I'm quite sure that the zebra were previously held where the elephant is now kept. The background of this photo https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/246724_10152127077840593_1567758939_n.jpg is basically exactly the same as the one pictured above.

I just found this photo https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/37580_10150242091185593_8254801_n.jpg which pretty much confirms the photo being taken at Franklin Zoo. Even the buildings are the same!

And finally, http://www.flickr.com/photos/the_dells/1035172578. After closely examining photos of Zelda and Maria, it actually looks like the zebra pictured above is Zelda.

Yup, that does look like the same place, I don't have photos of the old zebra paddock. The fence itself is even the same.

So this is actually a photo of a female zebra at Franklin Zoo, not Auckland Zoo's new male at all.

ohh wow my friend use to work at Keystone I never knew you could evin work there she helped out with the giraffes and zebras and i asked her if she had a pic of carlo and she gave me this she doesnt work there any more but she may have got this wrong sorry guys if it is I was just going by what i got told you may be write driftaguy looking at it now it does look like the franklin zoo enclouser sorry for any inconvenance guys

Yes defintly is Zelda the background is to similar to be another enclouser
