Charming scene.Reminds me of part of the lake in Dublin Zoo - surely the world´s most beautiful zoo lake. However , I hope they remove that peacock sculpture as it looks awfully tacky there.I love discreet sculptures in zoos , especially small and well located bronzes , but this is awful, especially as it is spoiling an otherwise first-class view.
The sculptures are part of a series on display at the Wetland Centre for the Love London Recycled Sculpture Show, which is being hosted here. Recycled sculptures are on display all around the site, apart from in the central area which is kept off-limits for native wildlife. I'm not sure if the Wetland Centre should be counted as a zoo, but some of their paddocks and enclosures for world waterfowl are very nicely laid out.
A few more photos of nice exhibits in their 'World Wetlands' section:
(they depict, in order: Waterfowl of New Zealand, The Frozen North, North American Pine Forest, and a North American Broad-leaf forest clearing.)
