@Dan, Given the state of many bear and other large European predator / Carnivora exhibits the Skanes Djurpark exhibit wins hands down (even if for Northern European standards it is dated now).
NOTE (and in tandem developments in situ in country): Sverige has an issue with large predators and how they are perceived by the hunting community. Wolf, bear and lynx are all on the block ....., in a country with plenty of space .... how come European moose hunting takes precedence over sound European standards species conservation?
The role of zoos in public awareness over large predators, their light and their role in the ecosystem and where humankind should stand in the food web is an essential part of northern European zoos' outreach education roles and programs.
