aviaries at Dunedin Botanic Gardens, NZ

Photo taken December 1998. At that time this group of four aviaries housed native parakeets. From left to right red-crowned kakariki (Cyanoramphus novaezelandiae), yellow-crowned kakariki (C. auriceps), orange-fronted kakariki (C. malherbi) and Antipodes Island parakeet (C. unicolor).

Currently (as of January this year when I was last there) the aviaries house South Island kaka (Nestor meridionalis meridionalis) in two of them, yellow-crowned kakariki and Antipodes Island parakeet in the other two.
