This path runs alongside and underneath an aviary holding black storks (one can be seen in the picture), ravens and Eurasian eagle-owls. Quite a lovely path and aviary, if you ask me. The aviary also has a viewing hut which allows viewing of the birds.
There has been an aviary at this location since the early days of GaiaZoo. In the past, different kinds of large .owls were kept at this location. The aviary was overhauled in 2014: two pools were added, the fencing and mesh were changed and the path over the walkway was added, resulting in a taller aviary. Due to different fencing and removal of some vegetation the aviary now also appears lighter than before. I think it is a pretty lovely aviary, and I like the viewing hut too.
