a bit of an odd choice for a display bird as these are very common all over the island including in Noumea itself. There was however a display board next to the aviary discussing all the different species found in the country including the two endemic species of Lifou in the Loyalty Islands.
I didn't take any photos of the birds in this aviary, but these are a couple of pictures I got of wild ones near the Riviere Bleue national park:
