Next year the hyacinthine macaws (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus) will be moving the old bird-of-prey aviaries from 1855 that are currently being reconstructed in a renovated and modernized form behind the okapi house. And that in my opinion is a good thing, because this aviary is pretty tiny for such large parrots and because the birds are not well visible to the public currently because of the planting and the hedge (although there may be a good reason for that).
