Axé, the African Elephant - Belo Horizonte zoo

Axé, a 38 year old cow, is unfortunately the only residing elephant at the Belo Horizonte zoo, due to the sad passing of Jamba in late june. She was the very first elephant to be born in Brazil. Picture taken in 18/07/2025.
