The zoo hand raises all young animals born at the park to make them easier to move to the next park they will be living at along with being easier for the keeper to handle.

This is not a giant eland. Giant eland ears are more rounded.

Even as calves? Also, The ears were more rounded in person then they appear in this photo because of the angle at which it was taken.

Yes, even as calves. Those ears could not possibly round out any more to what the ears of a Giant eland look like.

Got it. That would make sense because i was looking at the striping on the side and it doesn't seem to be prominent enough for giant eland. The change has been made.
