No I think he was born at the Toledo Zoo, and if not he must have been born at a park, either way I know he wasn't born in the wild. I think he's around 4 years old.
To answer the question, no, this is a domestic Bactrian camel. There are no wild Bactrian camels in captivity in North America. I do believe there may be some in captivity in Mongolia and or China, but I'm not certain.
