According to Zootierliste this species is only kept in Europea at Rotterdam and at Boulogne-sur-Mer in France. In the recent (?) past Blijdorp also kept the true Atlantic herring (Clupea harengus) in one of the North Sea tanks, but I didn't see any of those left during my most recent visit.
