Banded Gila monster (Heloderma suspectum cinctum) at King Cobra Sanctuary - 29/05/2011#

(not the sharpest pic, my autofocus was playing up again for parts of the day so much of this was trial and error with manual)

Was the autofocus getting fooled by the glass?

Wish I could say it was, but this was through the open door! It's odd because recently it has been unpredictable, with some great photos taken using autofocus to improve sharpness. So, sometimes it works fine, sometimes it decides ot decides a nice hazy picture of the back wall is the way to go
