Barbary Sheep Exhibit at Madrid Zoo Aquarium, 26/05/11

Like Dudley\'s exhibit on steroids.

It looks like someone let a bunch of sheep loose in my junior high school ampitheatre.

I don't actually think it's that ugly, as stylised mountainsides go, but there's clearly a problem with shade - when the sun was out on the day we were there it was seriously hot, and you can see how the sheep are mostly huddled under the small canopy.

But still, with fake rock everyone would love this enclosure. So I don't find it too bad. But there is really to few shade!

Are these pure Saharan sub-species Barbary sheep as held at Barcelona ? Looks to be quite a big group .

These are just generic 'zoo-mix' animals as far as I'm aware. I've never seen the the Libyan fassini ones anywhere except Barcelona.
