bark scorpion (wild)

July 13, 2019. Grounds are open until 10pm on Summer Saturdays.
There is a low rock wall (butterfly garden) where lots of scorpions sit in the cracks. When the museum is open on Saturday nights (summer), lots of people go here with black lights to look for them (since they "glow" under black light). I ran up to the gift shop and bought a black light flashlight for ten bucks so I could go back and get some photos.

"Flashlight" is "torch" for those of you who live in parts of the world that use British English.
