Barracudas can be aggressive, and I believe there are recorded attacks, but not to eat people. I always keep a close eye on barracuda when I see them, especially if they are in a school, but in my few experiences with them they have been well behaved. Their undershot jaw and nasty-looking teeth make them scary-looking, but I don't think, they are naturally bad-tempered. This school was of small individuals, probably only two-thirds of a metre in total length.
