This decrepit staircase started at an animal holding area then moved down to the famous grottos. This is NOT the normally photographed staircase, I go to this one by entering through a hole in the fence.
I went to the Old L.A. Zoo for the first time today and those stairs were something out of a horror movie! I don't know how the zoo keepers could go up and down them everyday with no hand rail or adequate lighting. The whole place gave me the creeps!
