Beautiful shot. That's the kind of shot I go to the zoo looking to get. absolutely love it.

This picture is amazing! I tried to get one like this but the beaver swam too fast and it was blocked by the branches in its pool.

Yeah, there's a lot of debris on the beaver water. I wish it was cleared out like the otters, which I've got beautiful shot of swimming underwater.

But the debris to us is being left on purpose. Beavers do store winter food under the water. Keepers may be leaving their stored food in order to encourage normal behaviours during winter.

Can you guess how many I took to keep only two? Just kept clicking away. The same day my friend got one of the beaver pooping in the pool!

I can imagine, how many pictures it took to get the one good shot. I've taken hundreds of photo during one visit at the zoo.

When I went to the zoo yesterday I took over 500 pictures! I waited at the beaver exhibit for over 20 minutes to get the few good pictures I have.

Oh yeah, that sound fairly normal. I once took well over 1000 photos and only a handful were good or interesting.

Oh thats my problem. I have no patience and dont take nearly enough photos... and my camera sucks. Now I can get a new camera but I cant change the other two problems. Id need time be patient and get lots of photos. Stupid me living 3 hours away. I can get up before dawn and get down there for opening but once you have made that long of a trip times already ticking. I have to race around the zoo to see everything because I likely wont have another opportunity to get back for months or until the next year. If Im not almost constantly on the move I wont get to see all of my favs before I have to turn around and drive 3 hours back home before nigthfall. I really need to move back to the GTA.
