Bee-fly #2, Paignton, April 2020

I spotted this in my garden yesterday. At first I thought it was a very small bee and then I noticed it's long proboscis and resemblance to a tiny hummingbird hawk moth. I think it's a Bombylius Venosus Bee-fly, unless anyone knows better.

You're basically correct, but I think that there are several species and I don't know enough to identify them properly. They have a sort of 'belt and braces' technique of keeping their feet on the flower while they are hovering, which this photo shows very well :)
