Behind the scenes...

That is definitely not a pretty sight...ugh.

What was written caused unitentional agravation between myself and SW.

@zooman: Ah, someone finally learned and is more critical... ;)

The gibbon was kept in a small cage in the basement of the Cat Building. The picture was not posted because of notorious need for attention (another overused theme of yours...), but to illustrate that not all in Omaha's zoo is as glorious as it might appear to some.

SW l am not a liar as you like to suggest. Arguing with you is not something that l have denied or hidden in the past.

Like other members here SW it is taking away the pleasure of this site reading your posts. It seems that the common thread between people haveing arguments on this site is U.

Neither am l comfortable with this situation. I am here to have "fun" "not" have my grammer checked! You are just too smart for me SW.

Must be tuff to be so knowing, or is it lonely being the judge, jury and teacher of us all.

Thank you, thank you for the (unintentional and gratuitous) obeisances. I feel utterly flattered by your apparent great interest in my very person and opinion-which appears to constantly lure you to my comments, even if 'allegedly' unintented. :p

Your allusion to geology doesn't make a lot of sense, though...;)

I saw the same gibbon species displayed on the island next to the island where they kept spider monkeys in 2003. I wonder if it is the same animal. Maybe the zoo kept him/her there just for the winter season...I hope.

You know, i'm begining to understand now what this character is about, a few weeks back a made a few comments related to some pics of an old russian zoo, and this guy came out with some arguments that at the time made sense, after some thought i felt bad for the guy who actually posted the pics, and felt somehow that the wrong impression of everything i had posted was taken, it really left a bad taste, so much that i have limited my used of the forum, not wanting to repeat the same mistake.

But now i'm begining to understand that this guy Sun Wukong is has an agenda, and double standars for everything european and american, and since i live in the US, and i love this country, let me tell you what maybe other forum members think but would not say,

you are rude, and at times a bit of a jerk, there is no reason to fight so much, this is a happy place, for good conversation and to share information about zoos, not to fight other members, how old are you 90?

you are rude, and at times a bit of a jerk,

Probably a bit unfair!

Sun Wukong is a combative poster, but I have yet to come across a post he has made when he has not been responding to something that someone else has said to him.

Because of the deleted post here it is hard to see where this argument came from, but you can hardly have a go at SW for what he has said here. It just seems that the minute he posts a comment, some people take offence and get highly personal.

And this photo is fairly grim...

And no, I'm not humourless. And please don't tell me to tell a joke. i don't think you and I share the same sort of sense of humour.

I don't think we share the same opinion about being rude and unfriendly either.;)

Some peole just like to make stress in the net.

And I won't judge a enclosure by one pic that shows only the animal. Who knows how the whole enclosure looks.
