The negative buzz is sometimes apparent in the background (internet sites, blogs, newspapers) and a beluga whale death 6 months ago combined with a dolphin death a week ago has not helped matters. The aquarium currently has 2 dolphins and 3 beluga whales and while there are major plans in place for the overhaul of the outdoor pools (with some interconnecting pools for transferring marine mammals) nothing definitive has been set in place in terms of a time frame other than the work should all be done by mid-2014.
