BELUGA OR WHITE WHALES AT THE NEW YORK AQUARIUM
Delphinapterus leucas
In captivity each white whale eats approximately 50 pounds of herring and mackerel daily. Since they are found in polar seas, the water temperature is kept a constant 53° year round.
