Does anyone know if this is truly Europe's largest aviary? Doue la Fontaine, with its rock walls and vast South American extravaganza, claims the exact same thing.

I'm not sure. I dismissed the claim fairly quickly as it was hidden in a paragraph on a sign at the exit, and all other claims seem to have disappeared. But it does look like they're close, at least. Selwo claims that the aviary is 300m long, up to 25m tall, and has a total area of "over 12,000 square meters" - about 3 acres.

On the picture it looks in any case HUGE ! Which species are kept in this aviary ?

And this isn't even all of it!
A lot is unlabelled, or labelled and invisible. * indicates species I didn't see.

Abdim's stork
Scarlet ibis
Sacred ibis
Northern bald ibis
Helmeted guineafowl
Ruddy shelduck
Fulvous whistling duck
Yellow-billed stork
Egyptian goose
Hamerkop
Cattle egret*
Snowy egret*
Vulturine guineafowl*
Griffon vulture*
American black vulture*
Marabou stork*

I don't know which is bigger, but I know the variety of avian species at Doue (in France) are much more interesting.
