This looks like a Verdin. Was this in an exhibit or flying wild?

It is indeed Verdin - a species that does not occur wild in San Diego. I've not heard of San Diego holding this species, what aviary was this in?

@Great Argus this was in the walkthrough aviary in Africa rocks

Cool species, although quite geographically inaccurate, then.
