I don't have a definite answer, but there were no indications that these ever leave the aviaries, and it's uncommon to find birds used for falconry in any sort of aviary in Egypt.
They're too small for the stock that they hold. Maybe for smaller species they'd be fine. Giza Zoo has an interesting history, although as a lot of it is effectively colonial I can quite see why modern Egypt might want to see the back of it.
